RentSmart provides you a safe and secured platform for both renters and owners to maintain a safe rental experience. Users are validated, items are insured and can be delivered safely to your home.
Why Is Our Platform Safe?
In order to use the RentSmart Asia Service, you need to create an account, either to be an owner or renter. By creating an account, you agree to get verified by submitting your personal details to us.
RentSmart values their customers. We provide the options for the delivery. We give users the freedom to pick their own way of shipping. We have up to 3 options for delivery. You can do all the purchase from home and get the item to your home without having you to move and at the same time lowering the risk of unwanted incidents during the meet-up.
Items Are Protected
Have a peace of mind when renting at RentSmart. Every item is insured. You can be rest assured in the event of your item(s) being damaged or lost RentSmart will indemnify you up to RM10,000 and ensure your income is also protected.
In the event of any item being damaged or stolen during the rental period, both the Owner and Renter are protected from further expenses.
Frequently Asked Questions
How long does Verification take?
With the help of Persona integrated in our system, identity verification does not take a long time. Just ensure the image of your NRIC or passport is clear and detectable. Keep an eye on the lighting as well, since a glaring light in the background might cause an unsuccessful verification.
If you face any problem to upload or take photo using your computer’s camera, you can do the verification process via email or mobile number and continue the same process on your mobile phone.
Is it safe to submit my ID to RentSmart?
In order to ensure our users’ are genuine and safe to the RentSmart’ Asia’s community, we ask renters to go through a verification process by giving out their personal details. Giving us this information is an act of trust which we don’t take lightly. We are also PDPA Compliant, an act which protect user’s personal data.

Is delivery available on every item?
At RentSmart we have our own delivery service which is the RentSmart Delivery but it is only available on certain items. If you see the RentSmart Delivery option on the shipping options, you can use the service. Otherwise, you can use owner’s delivery method or you can pick up and return the item by yourself. Are all items on RentSmart insured?
Yes, all items that are rented out through RentSmart are covered by our insurance. The insurance will indemnify the owner in respect of loss or damage as hereinafter provided by payment in cash, repair or replacement not exceeding the limit of RM 10,000.
